Strong IPTV Down? Here’s How to Fix It

When the picture stops, it is hard to tell whether the service is down, your line expired, or your Wi-Fi dropped. This guide gives you a 60-second diagnosis, then the fix for each device and symptom.

Start here
  • If every channel fails on every device, test on mobile data before assuming an outage.
  • If one channel fails, it is usually the source, not your account.
  • “Maximum connections reached” means another device is already streaming.
  • Send support your username, device, app and a photo of the error — it cuts the diagnosis time dramatically.

The 60-second check

Work through these steps in order. Stop as soon as you find the failure — that is your cause.

  1. Try a different channel. If a second channel works, the problem is the original channel’s source. Report the channel name to support and move on.
  2. Try a different device. Open the same line on your phone. If the phone works, the TV or its network path is the problem.
  3. Switch the phone to mobile data. Turn off Wi-Fi and play a channel. If mobile data works, your home network or ISP is the issue, not the service.
  4. Restart the player and the device. Force-close the app, then reboot the Fire TV, TV or box. Clear the app cache if the option exists.
  5. Check your expiry and connections. Look at the delivery message for the end date, and make sure nobody else is streaming on the same line.

If all five fail — every channel, every device, mobile data included — contact support. That is the pattern of a server-side issue or a line problem.

Fix it by device

Fire TV / Firestick

  • Settings → Applications → Manage Installed Applications → your player → Force Stop, then Clear Cache.
  • Check the device’s network: Settings → Network. If the signal is weak, move the stick to the 5 GHz band or use an Ethernet adapter.
  • Restart the Fire TV (Settings → My Fire TV → Restart), not just the app.
  • If the player will not open at all, reinstall it from the official source using the APK guide.

Android TV / Google TV box

  • Clear the player’s cache, then restart the box from the power menu.
  • Set the display to Auto and disable any “energy saving” or “eco” mode that throttles the network.
  • If the box is old, try a lighter player such as OTT Navigator.

iPhone / iPad / Apple TV

  • Force-close the player, then reopen it. On Apple TV, double-click the TV button and swipe up.
  • Check that the device is on the same network as your phone; guest networks often isolate devices.
  • Update the player from the App Store. An outdated version can lose support for newer streams.

Samsung / LG Smart TV

  • Close the app completely, not just return to the home screen.
  • Run the TV’s network test (Settings → Support → Device Care → Network or General → Network).
  • If the TV app is unstable, use an external Fire TV or Android box instead. It is usually faster and easier to update.

PC / Mac

  • Try VLC with the M3U URL to separate a player problem from a line problem.
  • Disable browser hardware acceleration if the web player shows a black screen.
  • Check that a firewall or antivirus is not blocking the player’s network access.

Router, Wi-Fi and ISP fixes

Most “IPTV is down” reports turn out to be a local network problem. These fixes cover the common cases:

  1. Reboot the router. Unplug it for 30 seconds, then power it back on and wait for the internet light to settle.
  2. Use 5 GHz or Ethernet. 2.4 GHz is crowded and too slow for 4K. If the device is near the router, use a cable.
  3. Test another device at the same time. If a laptop also struggles, the problem is the connection, not the TV.
  4. Disable the VPN. A VPN can halve your throughput. Test without it before blaming the service.
  5. Change the DNS. Try 1.1.1.1 or 8.8.8.8 on the router or device. This can help when the ISP’s DNS is slow.
  6. Check for ISP throttling. If streaming slows every evening, try a VPN on a nearby server. If the VPN fixes it, your ISP is shaping video traffic.

Do not factory reset the TV or router as a first step. It rarely fixes IPTV and creates a new setup problem. Work through the checks above first.

Account and connection issues

If the app says “expired”, “invalid” or “maximum connections”, the network is fine and the problem is the line:

  • Expired: renew the same line. The old username and password usually reactivate without a reinstall.
  • Maximum connections: close the stream on the other device. If your household needs two at once, add an extra connection for $10.80 per month.
  • Invalid credentials: re-enter the three fields manually. See the login guide for the exact steps.
  • Suspended for sharing: if the line was used by someone else, contact support. We can reset the password and check the connection log.

When to contact support

Contact us when the 60-second check points to the service, or when you have tried the device fix and the problem persists. Support is available 24/7 on WhatsApp at +212 653-362-639 and by email at support@strongiptv.co.

Include these details so we can help on the first reply:

  • Your line username (not the password).
  • The device and player app, including the version if you know it.
  • The exact error message, or a photo of the screen.
  • Whether mobile data works and whether other channels fail.
  • The time of the failure and your country, so we can check the server route.

How much speed you actually need

QualitySpeed per streamData per hour
SD5–8 Mbps~1.5 GB
HD / 1080p10–15 Mbps~3 GB
4K / UHD25 Mbps stable7–10 GB

A 50 Mbps plan is enough for one 4K stream plus normal browsing. If two people watch 4K at once, aim for 100 Mbps. The stability of the connection matters more than the headline number: a 200 Mbps line that drops packets will buffer more than a steady 50 Mbps line.

Run a speed test on the device that is failing, not on your phone. TV apps and old sticks often get far less speed than a laptop on the same network.

Frequently asked questions

There is no public status page that can see your line, so the fastest answer is the 60-second check above. If every channel fails on every device, including on mobile data, contact support on WhatsApp and we will check the server and your line.

Peak-hour congestion is the usual cause. Your ISP’s neighbourhood link, your home Wi-Fi or the route to the server can all slow down between 8pm and 11pm. Test the same channel at midday; if it is fine then, the issue is congestion rather than the channel itself.

No. A single channel failing usually means the source feed is down, the broadcaster changed the stream, or that channel moved. Try the backup feed if your player lists one, then report the channel name to support.

The line is fine; the TV path is not. Check the TV’s internet connection, the player version, the HDMI input and the app’s cache. If the TV uses Wi-Fi, test it with an Ethernet cable or a mobile hotspot before contacting support.

Sometimes. A VPN can bypass ISP throttling, but it can also add latency and reduce speed. Test without a VPN first, then try one server in a nearby country. If the VPN makes it worse, turn it off.

Yes, in most cases. Renew the same line and the existing username and password reactivate. If you buy a new line instead, use the new credentials.
