Security and Payments

Most IPTV security advice is either vague or alarmist. This page explains exactly where your card data goes, how the login works, why fake APKs are the biggest risk and what to do if something goes wrong.

The short version
  • Card details are handled by the payment provider; we do not store the full card number.
  • Your line has one username and password. Treat the M3U link like a password.
  • The biggest real-world risk is a fake “Strong IPTV APK”, not the stream itself.
  • If a line leaks, ask support to reset the credentials and remove the old playlist.

How payments are handled

Checkout runs through established payment providers. When you pay by card, the card number, expiry date and security code are entered on the provider’s system, not on a form that stores them on our servers. We receive the result: a transaction reference, the amount, the currency and whether the payment succeeded.

  • Card payments: the provider handles the card data under its own PCI DSS obligations. Where your bank and the provider support 3-D Secure, you may be asked to approve the payment in your banking app.
  • PayPal: the payment is processed under your PayPal account and PayPal’s buyer-protection rules.
  • Crypto: processed on-chain. Crypto payments are irreversible, so check the network and address before sending.

We will never ask for your card number, CVV or banking password on WhatsApp. If someone does, it is not us. Report the message to support and do not send the details.

If a payment is declined, the provider usually returns a reason such as “insufficient funds”, “3-D Secure failed” or “blocked by issuer”. We cannot see your bank balance or override your bank’s fraud check. Contact your bank first, then message support with the transaction reference.

Protecting your login

Your subscription is a line with a server address, username and password. There is no separate STRONGIPTV account with an email login, so the line credentials are the keys to the service.

  • Do not share the line. One plan covers one simultaneous stream. Sharing it can trigger a connection-limit error or a suspension for abuse.
  • Treat the M3U link like a password. The URL contains your username and password. Anyone who has it can use your line.
  • Use the official WhatsApp number or email. The contact details are published on this site. A “support agent” who DMs you first is not us.
  • Do not enter credentials on a page that is not HTTPS. Check for the padlock and the exact domain, strongiptv.co.
  • Remove old devices. If you sold a TV, gave away a Fire Stick or returned a box, remove the playlist before it leaves your home.

Support can reset a password or M3U link if you suspect a leak. The login guide covers the exact fields and the common error messages.

APK and player safety

The service does not publish its own APK. You use a compatible player such as TiviMate, IPTV Smarters Pro or GSE. That means the main security risk is not the stream — it is a fake player downloaded from a lookalike site.

  • Download from the developer’s official site, Google Play, the App Store or Amazon. A forum link or a file locker is not a source.
  • Check the permissions. A player needs network and storage access. It does not need SMS, contacts, accessibility or device administrator rights.
  • Scan the file. Upload the APK to VirusTotal before installing it. A cluster of malware detections is a stop sign.
  • Avoid “cracked” or “premium unlocked” builds. Modified players are the most common carrier for credential-stealing code.
  • Do not install a “Strong IPTV APK” from a site that asks for your username and password before download. A legitimate player asks inside the app, after installation.

The APK guide walks through the safe install on Fire TV and Android, including the exact Downloader steps and the error messages.

What data we keep

We collect the data needed to run the subscription: the line username, contact details, order and expiry dates, payment reference, support messages, connection logs and aggregated usage for capacity planning. We do not sell personal data or share contact details with advertisers.

Retention is documented in the Privacy Policy: account and order records for up to 24 months after the subscription ends, support conversations for 12 months, and connection logs for 90 days. Where the GDPR or UK GDPR applies, you can request access, correction, deletion or portability, and you can object to processing based on legitimate interests.

If your line or card is compromised

Act in this order. Most cases are resolved without losing the subscription.

  1. Contact support and ask for a credential reset. Use the published WhatsApp number or support@strongiptv.co. Do not include the old password in a public post.
  2. Remove the old playlist from every device. On Fire TV, Android and Smart TV apps, delete the profile and re-add it with the new details.
  3. Check your payment statement. If you see a charge you do not recognise, contact your bank or PayPal immediately and ask for a dispute. Send us the transaction reference so we can check the order.
  4. Change any reused password. If you used the same password on another site, change it there too. IPTV credentials should be unique.
  5. Report the fake site or APK. Send the URL and a screenshot to support. We will add the pattern to the APK guide when it is a new scam.

Reporting a security issue

If you find a vulnerability in this website or a flaw in the payment or login flow, email support@strongiptv.co with the subject “Security”. Include the URL, the steps to reproduce it and any evidence. We will acknowledge the report and tell you whether it is in scope. Machine-readable contact details are published at /.well-known/security.txt.

We do not currently run a paid bug-bounty programme, and we do not authorise testing that affects other customers, disrupts the service or accesses data you do not own. If you are unsure whether a test is acceptable, ask first.

For a compromised payment card, contact your bank before contacting us. The bank can stop the card; we can only check the order on our side.

Frequently asked questions

No. Card details are entered on the payment provider’s checkout page. We receive a transaction reference and status, not the full card number. The Privacy Policy describes the payment data we do receive.

Crypto payments are irreversible. Use a reputable provider, double-check the network and address, and keep the transaction ID. If you are unsure, use a card or PayPal, which may offer a dispute process.

Support can reset the line password, but you should never post it in a public group or send it to a third party. We will not ask for it in a public thread. Use the WhatsApp number or email published on this site.

Contact support and ask for a credential reset. Check which devices are configured with the line, remove the old playlist and re-add it with the new details. A leaked M3U link can be used by anyone who has it.

No. A VPN is optional. It can help if your ISP throttles streaming or if you want more privacy, but it can also reduce speed and add latency. Test without one first.

Email support@strongiptv.co with the URL, a screenshot and where you found it. We cannot remove every lookalike site, but we can warn customers and update the APK guide when a new scam pattern appears.
